BETH RIVKAH SECONDARY

Academic Excellence

Beth Rivkah Secondary upholds academic excellence by meeting the diverse needs of each student ensuring that every student can thrive. Supported by a dedicated team of highly qualified professionals—including Literacy and Numeracy experts, Enrichment and Support staff, and School Psychologists—our students are well-prepared to pursue their desired university courses and deepen their Torah learning beyond school.

Our state-of-the-art culinary kitchen and well-equipped science labs provide abundant opportunities for growth and development, fostering both academic achievement and practical skills.

Co-curricular Enrichment

Our dual curriculum integrates both Jewish and General Studies, providing a comprehensive education that fosters academic excellence and personal development. Informal education programs, such as Pnimi, run throughout the year. The Pnimi program promotes self-awareness and growth in Yiddishkeit, Chassidishkeit, and Menschlichkeit, encouraging students to progress at their own pace to achieve the best personal results.

In addition, there are a broad range of co-curricular activities from drama and song festivals to art exhibitions, promoting personal growth through creative expression. Captaincy opportunities provide scope for teamwork and leadership skills both within and beyond school hours.

Beth Rivkah Athletics & Swimming Carnivals

The annual Beth Rivkah Athletics Carnival and the annual Swimming carnivals are vibrant and eagerly anticipated events for all students. House teams Esther, Sarah, and Chana compete for the win, showcasing their sporting skills and team spirit. Both carnivals are filled with house spirit and camaraderie, as fellow students enthusiastically cheer on their teammates, creating an atmosphere of unity and excitement..

Caring and Kindness

Yad L’Ezra iVolunteer

For over 30 years, Yad L’Ezra has been a beacon of support for families and individuals within our community. Originally established with the noble aim of assistance, today it stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of compassion and selflessness.

Led by Chabad Youth, Yad L’Ezra iVolunteer now has five dynamic divisions. Over 100 dedicated girls from Beth Rivkah Secondary School contribute their time and talents to a range of initiatives, from visiting the elderly to tutoring, fostering mentorship through 'Big Sister Lil Sister' programs, and providing invaluable help at home.

Through these endeavours, Yad L’Ezra not only provides practical assistance but also cultivates an ethos of giving and responsibility. By engaging in acts of kindness and service, our volunteers emerge as empathetic, caring, and compassionate individuals, enriching both their own lives and the wider community in the process."

Empowerment in Action: Fostering a Culture of Care and Leadership

At our school, empowerment means more than just words; it's a way of life. Students from all year levels embody this ethos by actively supporting and uplifting one another, demonstrating genuine kindness and care at every turn.

Our commitment to chessed (kindness) extends beyond our school gates, as students enthusiastically engage in volunteer programs and fundraising initiatives, making a tangible impact on the wider community.

We believe in empowering our students to create positive change, equipping them with the tools and opportunities to give back meaningfully. From organizing events like The Great Chop and Colour Run to participating in charity drives, our students lead by example, demonstrating the power of empathy and action.

Tzedakah (charity) and chessed are woven into the fabric of our school community, seamlessly integrated into various programs such as Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparations and volunteering endeavours. Together, we celebrate the spirit of giving and leadership, fostering a culture where every student has the power to make a difference.

Shluchot

Our dedicated shluchot play a pivotal role in fostering our school's warm and inclusive atmosphere. Serving as mentors, they are instrumental in empowering and inspiring our students to embrace their individuality and cultivate a deep sense of pride in their Yiddishkeit (Jewish identity) and Chassidishkeit.

Through vibrant and engaging educational and informal programs, our shluchot instill a sense of positivity and enthusiasm among our students
